Im just very very hessitant to put drs on a dd ya know? They wear out fast as ****. I do prolly 1k miles a month so they wouldnt even last a year. Not to mention no traction in the rain.

Nitto has a 315 555 street tire. Prolly what ill go with and if it aint hookin then ill get a spare of wheels with drs. I heard good things bout envos as well. They only have a 275 in that though.

Yea thats smart.. Then when you get caught (which you will) they'll impound your car, You'll go to jail, and everyone will call you a idiot.. Great idea.

Am I still allowed to post in this thread? I don't wanna start a new one lol.

I have an 04 auto.

I know I still need a window switch but what else do I need/don't need for me to be able to run nitrous?

How big is the shot your running? I wouldn't go over a 50 shot to play it safe, also how many miles on your car?

It comes stock with SOHC the guy I bought it from had it rebuilt less than 5k miles ago and had the DOHC put it. Along with the throttle body. And clutch and tranny. Sorry for not listing that before you read it.

ok so im trying to wrap the idea around my head, you have a 4v with a bullit intake, 4.10 gears, and you run 12.2s over a cobra with a procharger? what year is the cobra, if its a termi i highly doubt youd beat him n/a, and what injectors are you running? platinum plugs arent really a power adder at all and i hope you dont mean platinum injectors. i just cant grasp the concept that a n/a with mild bolt ons walks a s/c cobra unless hes a crappy driver as was stated earlier that means the cobra easily can pull 11s on you if it had a good driver. id love to know how you got the bullit intake to work on a 4v head, so that way all of us gts can use our stock intakes on 4vs. not trying to make fun of you and your car, im just not understanding how with your current mods you can do all you say. i know with my rust bucket i dont hold a candle to a cobra but its still fun to run them lol

It's my dd but I don't drive it hard all the time and
It gets regular maintenance the second something goes wrong

Def getting a window switch and wot switch if I do

As to prevent that video above lol

It was activated too early..my guess his rpm limit for the nitrous got confused on the launch. Nitrous is scary. I'd start at 75 or lower just to be safe and make sure all systems are a go before **** like that happens.

Thanks for the advice bro

It couldn't hurt considering it comes with all of the size jets anyways

Starting slow is a good thing lol

So is this a good f/I route for my car?

Any force induction can be bad if tuned incorrectly. I'd say it's fine as long as you don't abuse it. And I think I read it's an auto? WOT is not a good idea going into OD especially with the nitrous. Just a heads up. Goodluck!

Yeah it's automatic. But if I take the overdrive off how am I supposed to go fast?

Am I supposed to ride 4th gear till I run out of gear on the highway?

That sounds worse tbh lol

You can go into OD, just not a good idea to go into it under heavy acceleration, just when you do, let off the throttle a bit, it will still shift gears but won't hurt the OD mechanics.

^^what he said. Don't think you'll max out 3rd? Goes over 100 I think. Been awhile since I did a 100 pull in mine.

Yeah...

.. But doesn't that defeat the purpose of getting nitrous in the first place?

NOT a track or 1/4 mi car btw lol

No, you can still go into OD but just let off before it shifts. It will shift regardless but, it's just isn't the best. Think of it as using a clutch and shifting manually into OD. Not even a half a second..lol you won't slow down..

So if I have OD off at wot what mph does it reach?

When it reaches that point will it just not go any faster? Will it shift anyways just much later?

Will anything bad happen if I turn it back on at high speeds (non spraying)

Not sure on speed.. Haven't drove that fast in a while and it won't shift out of third with OD off. Also, depending on gears your speed will be different

Cool. So for a nitrous car build, you pretty much just build your car as far as you can n/a to help you right?

What do you think of nitrous cams?

Well forged internals would be a smart thing to do..especially if you plan on shoving a shot down its throat every time you drive. They say 400-450whp is do able and somewhat safe with stock internals..but it's nitrous and that **** just freaks me out. Cams would help..I mean you can totally rebuild for a nitrous setup.. But if you stay with a 100 shot you should be ok for a while.

Yes should be. still curently waiting to get it back from lethal performance with the 300 hit. It made a little over 600 with the 200 shot. So should be knocking on the door of 7
