looking for options

Im looking at an engine swap. I've got the stock 98 npi engine right now hitting over 154,000. Has a freshly rebuilt 4r70w that I plan on keeping. Just wanting to know what engines will bolt right up? Will all 99-04 engines bolt up? Is there any possibility of a 4v being able to bolt up?

Yes either will bolt up but you'll need the computer from the other vehicle or a custom tune

a 99-04 will bolt up, no need for computer to run it either as long as you stay coil pack and not coil on plugs, i have a 96 with 02 pi heads so i just get a little more power cause of the higher compression it puts out. 99-04 direct bolt up, no modifications needed your stock computer will run it fine. now the 4v however different story......32vnomad has a great write up for it, of how to install and have it running properly with all the bangs and whistles.
