02 gt motor swap

Ok so I found a motor for 850$!!! It's outta a 2000gt and comes with an ecu will this b a straight up swap cuz I kno that's a Windsor block and I have a Romeo block

I don't think the plant where the motor is made had anything to do with it. As long as your swapping a 4.6 for a 4.6

Use your ecu and just sell the 2000 ecu. Your security system is set for your computer, car wont start with the 2000 ecu without a reset by a tuner or factory.

If you have a romeo engine they are a 6 bolt crank setup, if you have the windsor then it has an 8 bolt crank. So you would need to change your flywheel and or flexplate depending on your new setup. as far as ecm's are concerned yours it fine and the 00 ecm is not needed.

My mechanic is gonna drop in a 02 gt motor for me for 1800$ so in a few weeks we will b back on the road and I'm selling my old block to a buddy for a set of 4:10 gears
