96 gt motor swap into my 02 gt

Good idea or bad? What all will I need to change, I'll be putting my heads and intake on to make it PI. To make the compression 10:1. But the motor from the 96 is in an automatic gt does it matter with my manual tranny? Will it still bold right up (the crank to the cam shaft)

I meant the crank to the flywheel. Will the automatic 96 bolt up to my manual 02

Would work, by all means not a bad idea. If your doing the pi swap you might end up with a bit more horsepower than you previously hard. What other upgrades would you throw into the mix?

Well I have 373 gears, I don't know what all I wanna do yet. I'm sure the upgrades are about the same for the two motors but not sure what all I wanna do. But your for sure that the swap will work? Im going to use the coil packs off of the 02 motor as well, just so I don't have the two coil packs and wires to worry about.

most of them are the same. I mean virtually will be all the same if your keeping the PI Heads. It will ALL be the for the motor its self. I have a teksid block I need to put together yet with terminator heads. It'll be a interesting project as well. But let me know if you have anyquestions as far as the build. I did the infomous PI Swap twice so its pretty easy now. I'll be happy to help when ever I can. Also, As far as the bolt up on the trans it should be fine. A couple of people I know did auto to manual conversions on there sn95's. there housing is the same
