Newby to 4.6 world

I've had a 5.0 for a couple years now, just upgraded to a 99 GT. Just curious about good affordable HP upgrades, any good suggestions? Car is bone stock, 5-speed.

O/r x or h pipe with good Flo thru mufflers , cold air intake and tuner will get you started.

Go with an SCT tuner with Bama tunes. Most CAI are about the same as far as I know. And my vote would go towards a nice catback setup or some gears 3.73 or 4.10.

After that, there's also a larger throttle body and plenum. This gives some extra HP and much better throttle response, especially if you already have the tuner.

Looks like you have some nice aftermarket Bullitt rims, so I would lower it and get rid of some of the fender gap.

Newbie... Me too I just got my 04 40thann gt it already has k&n cai also some kind of Flows on it sounds great .. Billet rims and cobra vectors and scoop dealer said all stock but I thought a real 40 would be some kind of 2 tone colors only thing that's a different color is on rear ..I as well need to make this pur even more ..

Awesome, I actually just put on the red decals on back of mine too. Love the way they look, I also just installed my CAI last week, New chrome fog lights, and my new mufflers are getting installed today. Hope it sounds good. If not I'll need to get a midpipe to help out.

Your right a true 40th anny have stripes down the center of the car with the badge behind the shifter and the mach 1 audio system I have the same year and color as you. We have a 40th anny just not the true 40th :bummer: but u will still love it to death!
