Timing Chains

How difficult is it to change out the timing chains on a 2001 gt? Do you think it would be better to have it done? I hate to spend the money in labor cost when I feel I could do it myself.

Definitely. I'd be worried that I wouldn't get TDC lined up perfectly and end up with detonation and scrapped pistons/valves/heads.

I need to stick with a pro I guess. I don't want to mess it up then be out a motor and more money. It's my only car. Can't afford it to be totally out of commission. Thanks guys.
