Define "bolt on".

I consider cams a bolt on because you don't really have to tear into the motor all that much; other people do not.
I also consider heads a bolt on because it doesn't require much work, just swapping heads and bolting in the new one and reconnecting the injectors, fuel rails, etc.

I can't wait to do the internals. But as of now it's cosmetic mumbo jumbo.

Yeah I bought mine with forged internals( piston, rods, crank, etc..) he did a lot more to it also to get it up to 300rwhp but internals help a lot

pritty interesting question, i think a lot more people try to go the full bolt on method than FI but no one really knows how much RWHP u gain with these mods. Personally i don't consider cams and heads bolt ons because you have to actually disassemble the motor to put those on where bolt on are just that just bolt on and done. I would love to see a dyne sheet with TB/Full Exhaust/ CAI/UDP/Injectors......

yea that is so close to what i want lol Id be happy to say i have 300 at the wheels. I went to a very reputable mustang tuner in my area and no matter what i said they kept trying to force the supercharger down my throat. So glad to see people r reaching that goal with out supercharger being the only option

IMO if you do bolt ons... full bolt ons I'd do a tune also maximize your full potential for your bolt ons

Yea defiantly. All bolt ons with gears. Cams. Tune. I'd say I'm close to 330ish.

id love to do cams but its not just the cams, its the spring kit, then the adjustable cam gears.... a lot to spend before even installing them, but you can't argue with 330RWPH^^ Thats a nice number

But yes if your doing bolt ons I'd do exhaust, CAI, TB, MAF sensor, pulleys, ecu chip, and deffinantly a tune to ensure max performance and you could reach 280 to 300 just depending on products and so forth

well I'm going to disappoint this whole forum... lol. I have no mods engine wise yet to speak of. I got the car and it had a Borla cat back , BBK CAI . It has a cervelli hood and the clear coat was peeling bad on the hood and spoiler. I just bought a saleen spoiler, saleen rims and dropped it off to the body shop. It has a cobra front bumper so also had to buy fog light bezels so all looks so far... no engine goodies

yea its a really sick hood i love it. came with the car luckily along with the borla exhaust so that saved me an ez $1500. so once that car is repainted its definitely time to mod the engine.... thinking of either headers and mid pipe or the gears and tuner kit on AM... opinions?

If you want tq and launch off the line gears and tuner will help, headers will help hp a little mostly and sound thing IMO, if you doing bolt ons... CAI if you don't have one already, TB and spacer, larger injectors if you want, always good to put in some updated spark plugs, ecu chip, tuner or dyno tune it, x pipe or h pipe, and headers will help too with all of those

Umm came on the car when I bought it, it probably raised hp atleast 15hp and lowered my mpg to 220 a tank.. i don't think american muscle sells them but they are a great add on to any car for hp cause the ecu in most cars are not set up for pure performance so anything along ecu chip and tune/programmer are going to help

yea I've definitely never seen one advertised on any websites like AM or the like... I thought the tuner took the place of the ecu chip , or is this chip used in addition with the tuner?

I've tried to space mine out and alternate between appearance and performance. I've spent I think $2500 ish combined since last April lol, still have a few more goodies before I have to cam/supercharge.

I've started to mod a 2002 GT. Still not done but very close. Mods are: stage 2 cams, including all the other parts associated with the cam swap, 44 lb injectors, svt focus fuel pump, edelbrock victor jr manifold, edelbrock fuel rails, bbk 78 mm tb with plenum, bbk cai, jba mid length headers, jba mid pipe, borla stingers, no cats, eibach pro suspension, 4.10 gears, ram clutch, and mgw shifter... Oh and moroso aluminum valve covers. We've been at almost a month a few hours at a time. I really don't know how much hp will get but I can't wait to get it Dyno-tuned. I'll post the numbers FYI once we're finished.

... Have to disagree. A good tune is important. Get a flash programmer with custom written tunes. Bama tunes are great while you are building up your car but a proper custom dyno tune is the way to go at the end of your build.

That's nothing bud. Start looking into suspension, wheels and tires, driveline. In 2 years I've dropped an easy 6 grand. (1200 in wheel and tire combo, another 600 on new tires, 600 in Midpipe and catback, 1400 in suspension (eibach pro plus and other stuff), cai tune 550, shifter 160 new seats 1300 (honestly the BEST mod I've ever done, especially as a bigger guy). This is a dangerous game for your wallet.
