Gears

Always wondered, and yes I know I have no right being here if I do not understand this, but what would be better for a daily driver with a bit more kick as far as aftermarket gears? An 04 mach 1 for example, what would be better for daily driver while increasing hp, 3.73 4.10 or what? Thanks guys

Well they don't increase HP at all.

4.10s are the way to go. Guys will argue that the lesser ones are better for gas mileage, but it wouldn't be all that noticeable of a difference in MPG, however it will make a difference in power.

Hope this helped dude!

Check out the gears thread in the stickies section, it's got a good read on 4.10s and daily driveability with them.

If you do a ton of highway driving then I would go 3.73, but other than that 4.10s all the way

4.10s are actually said to get slightly better in city driving because you spend less time getting to your overdrive gear. Highway mpg's will go down unfortunately, so it really depends on what kind of daily driving you do.

3.73 are a good balance from the stock 3.27s, sould shave off .25 in the quarter~

I'm gonna keep the Bullitt for a while, but it's mainly cause I know my parents won't want me to get gears. My dad said a Tuner is a waste of time and money and is pointless..... Guess what's in the mail right now though lol
