MPG compare to v6

I've ask before on different forums but I want to make sure.

Do the GT get same mpg as v6?
Talking bout around 99-04 year. I plan to get a 5 speed gt if I get same mpg as my v6. I get 20-21 in my auto v6.

Thanks!

My 02 GT gets on average 19-21 with stock gears and mild bolt ons. All depends how I drive it I've gotten mid 20s doing mostly highway n being easy on the gas and I've gotten as low as 17 romping on it but that's the worst I have seen for a tank of gas is 17.

Yea the mpg on the v6 and gt is almost not that much of a difference. It really depends on how you drive it.

My 96 gt manual use to get up to 29 mpg highway (2.73 gears) and as low as 16 city when driving like a pissed off teenager. My 94v6 auto got worse mileage on the highway (25-27) but never got worse than 18 city. I know its beyond the scope of this threads question but for reference, my 03 mach 1 manual (3.55) gets 29 mpg highway (I hyper mile but still do about 75mph) and about 18 city. But if I get on it in the city, I can get that down to single digits pretty easily. And in a track day, we're talking about 6-7 mpg...

How you said about driving like a pissed off teenager, well I'm a teenager and think all other drivers in my area are stupid
