Hid fogs again

Tried installing my kit. Couldn't get the bulbs to fit in there. And then tested them and the bulb fell out and say on the plastic part right there and melted plastic on the bulb. Peeled most of the plastic. Is it safe to put in my foglight or does it burn to hot. Because they're constantly smoking when there one. It's a 35w 6k kit. 880 bulb.

These little stoppers on the bulbs and I had to take a knife ad cut the little slots bigger to get em to slide in. Has anyone ever sprayed foglights with VHT? Like tailights.
