Tranny leak?

So I was under my car yesterday changing my clutch cable and I noticed oil around the drive shaft where it goes into the transmission. There is no oil on the ground but its all over the bottom of my car. Where would this come from?

Possibly the rear seal on the tranny , right where the shaft goes in. If its wearing out the tranny fluid will seep past it there cheap to fix

Mines doing the same thing. Sometimes if I'm going up hill I can smell it hitting my X-pipe and burning.
