02 GT stang black box

Is this fact or fiction about 99 and up mustangs having a black box to keep records on what speeds are done in what times and can this be removed

I've heard about those on the newer cars but not early 2000's or late 90's

Well its an 02 and i hope not my friend wrecked his GT bad and cops had him sign some papers to gain access to it

Yeah hes ok thank the Gods hes here at my place now going over this whole mess talking about court and lawyers but im going to miss that car but get this im going to try and get his motor and trans and put it in my 84

Story is that he was maxed out in 3rd going to 4th some how shifts to 2nd lost grip on a turn spun out hit curb and went up a tree then flipped landing upside down and bing pinned between seat roof and curb .... To me he is lucky he did not get cut in half and im lucky i was not with him that day cuz his passenger is still in hospital

Its a sad day when there is one less mustang in the world but value dose go up when theres less.

I found this thread looking for a review of Turtle Wax's Black Box, but that looked to be one violent crash. I max 3rd gear in the traps at 98mph with stock gears, I hope he wasn't going that fast. Update?
