Exhaust

Alright guys I've heard that u can put cobra IRS exhaust on a 03 gt and not have issues. I've only seen a lil info on the Internet about this and some say they have done it an others say u can't do it and it will mess up ur suspension. What do you guys think

Some people have done the swap without issues then I've seen some people have issues. I almost did it but decided to spend my money elsewhere. It'll only be for looks

Yeah that's the only reason why I want to do it. I just don't want to spend the money if it's not going to work though

That solid axel is going to go up and down and your exhaust isn't. All I can think is that the axel can hit your exhaust

I'm not saying you can or can't but it just seems like it could hit the axel.

There is always a way around things if you really want it. Yes it can go under the axel but there is always a chance it can hit your axel. It won't hurt anything unless you bottom out really bad. I would do it on mine but my drive way is Angled really bad. My mufflers now almost scrap it

You could just look for a guy with a Cobra wanting to do a SRA swap.

I've been running bassani 2.5" ss catback on my cobra with sra swap for a few years now. I have never had an issue with exhaust rubbing or hitting anything.

The only downside is you can't just jack the rear of the car up from the side without the axle hitting exhaust. I jack my car from the diff and have no issues.

It all depends on if you do the install yourself or not. Most guys just trade straight across unless they have aftermarket parts that you don't have.

A local mustang forum. You can check on SVTP as well. They usually have somebody wanting to do the swap, it just depends on where they are located.
