Magnaflow Catback too quiet.

So, I have a magnaflow catback currently installed on my 02 GT. When I first got it, it was way too quiet with the stock midpipe. I then installed a bassani catted x pipe that I got for a very good price, but in my opinion it is still way to quiet. If I put an offroad h pipe on it, will the volume increase? If so, by how much?

A new catback is too expensive for me right now. I can pick up an o/r h pipe for 60 dollars from my friend that's why I'm asking.

There will be a pretty big difference. My buddy just swapped from a catted X to an O/R H and it's pretty loud now.

Have you considered swapping in CherryBomb mufflers?

You have to options to get more sound, you can swap to an off-raod mid or swap the mufflers. O/R Mid will definately make it louder and for the mufflers you wont need an all new cat-back just buy the mufflers and swap them out. If you have the non magnapack magnaflow catback almost any muffler will be louder, its one of the quietist cat-backs there is.

Update: so I've finally installed the offroad h, and while it was on the lift I took a look at what I thought was a magnaflow catback. It appears to be magnaflow mufflers welded onto the stock piping, then connecting to the midpipe. What I cannot tell is if it is actually magnaflow mufflers or if its all stock and only magnaflow tips. The good news is that the offroad pipe is on, the eliminators are installed, and it sounds pretty mean at WOT from 2-3000rpms. I didn't have a chance to get it any higher. In my opinion it still isn't loud enough for me at cruising speeds (1800-2200rpms). Do you have any tips for getting it louder

Buy resonators and have them welded in if you dont have the money for a full cat back or wait till you have the money because quality is worth the wait.
