All mufflers are good in their own aspect, it all depends on the sound you are looking for.

Yeah just go to a muffler shop. All you have to do is cut the muffler off the pipe and both inlet and outlet sides and then put the slp there and clamp it in not weld. Just go to a shop and have them do it.

You will be taking your stock muffler off and putting the loudmouth in place of it. That's literally all. It will take them 15 min once your exhaust pipes cool

The lm1 is a muffler. Just because it isn't called on doesn't mean it isn't. You won't ever get stopped for it. From under the car you can't tell a difference between the two. The 1s are completely legal in every state and you will not get in any trouble.

---------- Post added at 09:14 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:12 AM ----------

I understand you know nothing about exhaust but trust us. Any muffler you want to get will be put in place of the stock one. Your car either has 4 or 6 cats on it and a lm1 will still pass emissions easy

An h pipe with lm1 aren't nearly as raspy and sound better than anything. With loud mouth 2 you need an x pipe. But you won't pass emissions with any off road pipe

That's why I say go with the 1s because you have a stock mid pipe. It won't be raspy at all but will be deep and better sounding than any other muffler

you are probably right. i loved 1lowgt's video of the slp catback. which are the 1 mufflers anyway. might just save my money for the catback and do it right the first time instead of changing and changing it

To be honest with you the catback is a waste of money if you are just looking for sound.. Only thing different from buying it than buying just the muffler is that the catback comes with slp tips. Other than that it is no different

I was gonna do the same thing as you, just buy the mufflers since i already had 3" tips. But then the slp tips caught me, the piping is 2.5" with 3.5" double walled tips. SLP tips are the sexiest I've ever seen. In your case i would just have the mufflers put in and call it good. For now anyway. Or you can have a shop bend you some new pipes if you'd like, it'll cost more and you could have them put on slp tips but those are like $80 a piece

in the future it will probably be worth changing the tips because one of mine hanging a little lower than the other (not sure why) so in the future i might do that

Have you tried fixing it, and what size are your tips now? I know with 3" tips my flowmasters sounded different than a 2.5" tip

it used to make a rattling noise when in reverse thats what made me notice so i brought it up with a metal zip tie but it still hangs a bit and im not sure what size, im assuming it is stock because so is everything else on the car as of right now

Probably a 2.5" they may sound a little higher than slp pipe and tips, but it shouldnt be too much difference.
