hard time deciding on exhaust

ive been looking up videos for months on youtube and i just cant seem to decide. I cant afford a cat back and i dont want to change to an x or h pipe so with that said i would be changing mufflers. i thought i was sold on flowmaster original 40s but i am seeing some complainants with rust issues. if you get the stainless steel ones does this prevent rusting? also what in your opinion is a better sound the original 40s or the super 44. feel free to mention others that you like please as it would help me with the process.

It really not all that loud at all honestly. It's deeper than stock but it's still somewhat quit in my opinion. Try Autoanything.com they have a first time buyers discount as well. It's who I got mine through

It's what I want lol. But if ur keeping everything else stock It really won't be that big of a rasp. Once u take ur cats out is when it really gets raspy

slp's are the way to go. my setup is loud but thats becuz i have an off road x as well. i had flow 40's before and it was soooo quiet for me even with my off road x. switching to slp's was a great choice. also my lil bro has flowmaster 10's and sound sexy as **** too

So did you want your stang to be end of the world loud and obnoxious or more subtle?

i guess a little bit of both i really cant tell you for sure because its my second car, first one being a jeep so i figure if i go more subtle i can always upgrade. i would rather that than having to down grade and maybe not liking it

Yea I get it, everybody is different do what best for you ... I personally envision a sound so loud the cops would consider giving me 10-20 yrs in prison ... But atleast to make me go "maaaan, people are gonna hate me" lol

haha more power to you..for some reason (idk why) the newer mustangs like your model seem to just have a better look or feel with a obnoxious exhaust while the new edges not so much it just seems ******y

Can't wait for my exhaust. I've already got the stock Bullitt exhaust (retuned exhaust) which is pretty deep but I want deep, loud and old school. That's why I ordered the O/R Prochamber, then when I have enough money again I'm getting the Mac Catback

If you are keeping it al stock go with slp catback they are a gain over restrictive flowmasters and sound way better no offense to anyone with flows i had them before but they are a kind of cheap exhaust it robs airflow so slps will flow way better and be way more aggressive and later if you decide you want louder slap on a offroad midpipe or high flow cats. I can post a video of slp with stock midpipe and then another with o/r h. Good luck with choosing.
