Looks like they spliced wires into the outlet, maybe a aftermarket feature they had.

So when you turn on the car the aftermarket feature would turn on aswell.

It looks like an old style motion sensor for an alarm system. Perhaps previous
owner had an alarm and had a motion sensor installed so that if someone
reached inside the interior space when armed, perimeter was protected.

Ugh, it looks like a control box for a wireless underglow kit. That box powers the underglows and their probably used to be an wireless transmitter (like a key fob) that control the lighting sequence.

ID:	102106You sure they don't look similar? Naturally, the wires exiting under the car are wrapped in plastic conduit to protect them. Don't forget to plug the hole they made in the shift boot.

I honestly wouldn't doubt its under glow. Body kit. Tail lights even the dam headlights.

I use to have a Sensor on my old car that look very similar to that, if the car was lifted the alarm went off. It was to prevent anyone stealing my wheels.

Probably for gauges or something, underglow would have been leading to the battery, plus youd have brackets under the car to hold it, my guess it was after market gauges due to the wires leading under the car to the trans, but its just a guess so dont hold me to it
