Traction Control?

How exactly do I tell if my traction control is on or off? When the lights are on the button letters glow but when I push it nothing happens. Just a little confused on how you would turn it on and tell if it's on and off. Thanjs

Should be a little dot that lights up. It turns on when your key is off. Like if you have it turned off (dot light is on) and you turn your car off. The next time you start it it will be turned on (dot light is off)

You can also get a tune for it. I believe BAMA's race and hybrid tune keeps it off.

It may light up when you first start it then go away. After it's running hit the button. I do it every time I go anywhere.

Your button should light up when you turn traction control off. It should say OFF in orangeish yellow on the button itself.

Fog lights will stay on all the time. Tc will turn on when car is first started. You manually turn it "off" and the light is on.

But there all in different spots. My tc is below the radio in front of my shifter and my fog light is by my cup holder and the defrost is by my turn signal lever by the air vent

Traction control is ON when the LIGHT IS OFF
Traction control is OFF when the LIGHT IS ON
it's pretty backwards.
TC on in photo 1, TC off in photo 2.

On the 99-00 GTs there is only TC in front of the shifter. The Defrost is below the headlight knob and the fog lights button is just in front of the center console.

Your fine. Can you take us a pic of your tc button? It should be a matter of pushing it in.

It should say off right under the round part of the TC button.

Just start your car. Have it running and push the button. Then soon the tires and see if the spinning tire light comes on in the gauge cluster. A green tire spinning is what it looks like. If you see that then tc is on.

No light in the gauge cluster should be on after being started. They will all light up then go out. Now if you're talking about the green spinning wheel that only come on when tc is on and your tires spin. The tc butting in front of the shifter has to manually be pushed in to turn tc off.

after start up the green light on the cluster is off. Will that light come on if the trac control is off?

It will show upon starting your car and then disappear. It will only come on again if it senses wheel spin and that's when you'll see it flickering. If you push the button it should turn it off and you can spin your tires as you like
