Key fob remotes

Can you only have 1 key fob remote programmed to your car at once. I bought a spare on Amazon, programmed it, it worked, and when I use the other key, that remote wont work. Am I doin something wrong?

I have 2 programmed to mine. Works just fine. Maybe the battery in the other died.

I was under the impression that when you program a new one you had to program your original again. Try programming both at same time.

I never had to do that. I just programmed one new one when I got the car and that was it. Both work fine.

I think it depends on the new fob. The instructions that came with mine said every one would have to be reprogrammed at the same time.

I had the same problem with my '03 and F-150. Tried new batteries and didn't help. I had to do all the fobs for a car at once. Worked for both Fords!
