I'm not entirely sure how much they are worth but i may be interested in them in the near future if they are a good price.

IMO used parts warrant 50% of their retail value.. Again this is just how i go about it. If they are in good shape than i think this is a good starting point

Agreed, 50% of new depending on the condition. If they're mint maybe a little more, if they are corroded up a little, then less. If he's a good friend cut him a break, at least I would.
