clutch help please and shifter!!!

Ok bought my 99 cobra in 2011 and changed the trans because synchros were bad. I think mechanic changed it to a 2002 gt trans not sure. So I need to replace clutch now. Do I get a 02 tr3650 clutch for it or 99 cobra? And the shifter do I get the 02 gt shifter for it or the 99 cobras? It has the cobra clutch in it now and a short throw 99 cobra shifter in it and its pretty chunky. Any opinions?

Checkout the TR-3650 service manual. There is some labeling info on page 7, I believe. This should help you find out if it is a 3650.

Tremec TR3650 transmission service manual.pdf

Let me know if the link doesn't work.

Talked to the mechanic today and asked said can you tell me what transmission i have. He said yeah let me check, he goes onto the computer to findapart.com and types in 99 cobra and says you got a t45............. I F$%#@% know I had a t45 but the guy said he put an 02 trans in it and i told him that and he said yeah they used it for many years.... From my understanding 02 Mustangs had the tr3650 am I not correct? How can I tell what I have? Ill take a picture of it and see if anyone can help me. Thanks

Look at the PDF of the service manual I posted. It tells you where to look for model/serial/etc. on the tranny. Mid 2001 is when they started using the TR3650's in the Mustang.
