Mac Prochamber

So last summer I got a pypes high flow catted x pipe on my 00 GT and I wanted the prochamber before I got that one but was worried about emissions... what is the chances of getting pulled over for not having cats on the midpipe? I have Mac Catback system too, I just love the sound of the prochamber I love the deep sound, mines loud but want a little deeper tone..

Don't worry about being pulled over, I live in Cali and have no problems with my prochamber.

It definitely got louder, no obnoxiously loud like an x pipe, and the tone is awesome. And yea I still have the stock midpipe for when it's time to smog.

My buddy got pulled over THE SAME DAY he put on an O/R H pipe in Wisconsin and they wrote him a ticket for it and made him get it inspected in 48 hrs. I drove around for 5 years in DE/NJ with an O/R pipe and never had an issue, even in the 1 or 2 times I got pulled over in that car so it can go either way. My buddy actually put the O/R pipe on his car after seeing me drive mine around for all those years when we were roomates in DE and man was he irate when that cop got him. I felt kinda bad too...

Honestly, unless its a cost issue, just run cats. They take away basically no horsepower if you get a good set of high flowing ones. Or you can just get a set of heat shields or dummy cats put on so if some asshat pulls you over for noise pollution he'll see visually that there are "cats" on the car...

And if it IS a cost issue... save up for another few weeks or month and get the correct pipe.

That's what I'm kinda worried about lol I live in Wisconsin and idk there's so many ricers out there with straight pipe and giant *** mufflers that it seems like the cop would pull over before a mustang but idk.. lol I have high flow cats and maybe I could like cut out part of the pipe for the prochamber and put the cats in or something idk.. how much was his ticket?

I forget how much his ticket was but it wasn't SUPER expensive. It wasn't a $50 ticket either...

If you have high flow cats, have them welded into whatever pipe you get and be done with it. Like I said they rob practically 0 power unless you are at some ridiculously high level.
