If its the stock One it will come off. It's one of those moments where you have to put the purse down and just twist. Seen this several times and its always a case of twist harder. Put it on second gear location. Grab tight and twist.

If its aftermarket check around the base of the knob for a tiny lock nut usually flathead or Allen wrench.

I'll trade ya lol, mine seems to spin off really easily. I'll be driving and it does a 1/4 turn without me knowing it.

Try the pickle jar effect

Have someone else try to do it.

For some reason it might come off.

You "loosened" it for them!

Both of you need new shifters or a shifter with a locking nut -__-

That's a stock shifter knob, the 6 spd FRPP one. I've got the same exact knob just the 5 spd variety. It'll come off, someone might have gorilla'd it on one more turn that they should have at some point and now its super stuck. Were you the one who put it on there? Hopefully there was no locktite or superglue involved with the previous owner...

Just read your profile you have a 6spd sweet. Worse comes to worse wrap a rubber glove around the knob and get a wrench

Yeah get a redline boot. There isn't much you can do. I'd stop dicking with it and just leave it alone if you aren't going to do anything but try to re-arrange the boot. It'll still look the same when it goes back on.
