Gt wont crank

I went threw some semi deep water. My car died on me and the water shorted out the starter. I replaced the starter, starter relay, and battery but the motor will not crank over. I have tried jumping the starter but still no luck. Could use some suggestions.

Hydrolocked. Even the stock intake sucks from the fender.

I thought about that but the water was only up to the bottom of my front bumper and all I did was pull out of my driveway made it one door down and the car died. Didn't go fast enough for water to splash out into my intake.

Did it die on you in the water? And if yes did you try starting it again while in the water?

If it went up to your front bumper then water may have gone up the exhaust into the engine... Just a possibility

Oh man. Sorry to hear about your car. Does anything work? Lights? Is the starter trying to turn over? Is it completely seized? Give us all the info you can. If there is anything else you have tried, let us know what it is so we can help. Hydro locking would suck. No doubt. Might have shorted out PCM or anything. We need to know what all is gettin fire.

Sounds like your PCM is in need of a replacement.

With the new starter I have power to the starter and its trying to turn over but no luck. All relays have been replaced and the car has power. I'm going to take off the heads throttle body and intake manifold to make sure there is no water in the motor. And if there is hopefully I can get it all out before it causes major damage. Hopefully if there is I can save it.

Before u tear it all the way down, pull a couple of plugs and see if they are wet and see if you have spark on them.

Ok I did have water in my motor but managed to get it all out and get it started but now it making a loud clanking noise when it starts. I think I might have bent/warped a piston rod.

maybe not maybe its the oil with water mixxed into the lifters. i would highly recommend a oil change, run it for a few and do another oil change to flush out all the water contamination in the motor.
