I've heard that the H is just as loud maybe a little more refined where as a X pipe is high pitched and wicked sounding ...

Just your personal preference, i love the x pipe for the more obnoxious race car sound

Yea they all sound great with long tubes, and I do want that piss people off loud but at heart I want the deeper growl at the end of the day ... Thanks for helping finalize my decision gents

Same here, I did my research on exhaust systems and basically they all do the same thing the only difference is the mufflers you choose of your set-up. Of course stainless steal over aluminized bcuz it won't tarnish over time like aluminized but they are good headers. I'm doin pacesetter with my SLP's

I've got an H pipe on both my 01 4.6 and 93 5.0 would never go any other way unless pro chamber... X pipe is too NASCAR for me..IMO everyone has there own taste..

+1 I used to swear by x-pipes but once I swapped out to a h-pipe I will never go back. Best sound imo on any stang. I have MAC H and cat back but if I had the money I would of gone magnaflows.

X goes good with straight through mufflers, h goes good chambered. I have an h with slps and I think it sounds amazing.

Mines the magnaflow kit.. Chambered.. Catless I like it cuz I can be quite if need be..
