My buddy put the Magnaflow stainless catback on his 04 which will fit the same as your 99 and it sounded amazing. The tips are also 3.5" and fill up exhaust arches in the rear bumper perfectly.

+1 to what both of them said. I have the Magnaflow catback and it sounds great with very little drone.

Well yeah, I'd go listen to a bunch of clips on youtube. Wish I had that option in 2003 when I was looking for exhausts for my 95 Cobra although the Dynomax catback I went with turned out better than I could have hoped for.

But as was stated, the straight through style mufflers (Magnaflow/Borla/Dynomax/few others) do not have nearly as much drone as the chambered stuff. The headers, type of pipe and cats/catless has a lot to do with drone and overall exhaust sound too though.

Ever since I got my slp I've seen more people get them and really love the sound they produce. I will recommend them over anything unless you absolutely do not want loud exhaust.

SLP is the new Flowmaster for Mustangs. Back in the day EVERYONE would get the American Thunder catback and you'd see like... 2 cars with a different exhaust. All the SLP cars were LS1 Camarobirds oddly enough...

I've got borla stingers on mine, and an o/r H mid.

I've gotta say when I first started this baby up after it was all put together I think the world stopped. The heavens shined their beacon on my stang for that split second, and they sang as if matching the tone of my 4.6 rumbling...
I get loads of compliments on my set up, and it's the perfect growl. Not raspy, and loud enough to turn some heads, but not too loud to make it annoying.
Got borla stingers from amazon, and H pipe from American muscle.
The Pypes, o/r H

Does the off road h pipe make the car to loud at cold start?

You also have to anticipate what the sound is going to sound like. Before I got my mustang I was dead set on a Bassani x pipe. I got the car and then got a prochamber

It will idle a little loud, but unless its straight through mufflers it won't be that bad. I have a prochamber and it's only loud when you get on it.

Yea, it did get louder on idle though. The mufflers also have a lot better flow than regular stock mufflers cause Bullitts came with different mufflers. And I meant like how x pipes and h pipes are loud all the time, prochambers aren't as loud at lower rpms

I know what you mean. I have an off road x and it is just plain noisy. I may put a muffler on it someday but right now I just like it loud all the time lol mine isn't much louder on a cold start than a regular start

I doubt I but a muffler back on. Next exhaust I will try will must likely be Borla stingers but that won't be for a long time.
