Off road H pipe

I have a flowmaster catback on my 2004 GT that I just purchased last week. The exhaust sounds good but it isn't that loud. I was wandering if and off road H pipe would sound good with flowmasters and if anyone has a couple sound clips of their flowmasters with an off road H pipe. Thanks guys

If you can afford a whole new slp catback then get it. But if not slap an offroad h on there.

All you people posting LM1s and O/R x-pipes...your setups sound great, but it's like posting an LS1 engine bay when someone wants to see a 4.6 motor.
Here's Flowmaster 40s with an O/R H (stock H with the cats cut out and pipe segments welded in):

I've got Bbk shorties pacesetter o/r h and flows. I like the sound... not too loud. But still loud enough. I'll try and get a sound clip

I do like the sound. Yes it's personal opinion but they rust out so quick. My cousin bought 44s and had them for a year and a half and they were rusty and had rust inside build up and poured out.

No!, don't get slp loudmouths with no cat h/x pipe i had them and it sounded good at idle but soon as you gave it gas, sounded like a playing card being raped by a polar bear, get a bbk x pipe trust me the rasp sound soo good. Slp's sound like garbage with no cats. Keep the flows and get an x pipe, promise you won't regret it

I've had these 40s on my car for 2 years and they look as good as new. There is no rust at all.
Do you live up north?
I had a set of 40s on my '78 Corvette for 10 years and they never rusted either.

Maybe rain and bad luck combined.
The mustang is a dd that sits outside.
Flowmaster does have a terrible rep for rusting though. Guess I'm lucky. Heck, my Nittos have over 20k miles on them and they're not even half worn.

Flows are so quiet. I would recommend slp to anyone and to say they sound like garbage with no cats is far from true. It's just preference. A lot if people wouldn't do it if it did. I've gotten almost a complement a day on how mine sounds. So I think the complements speak for itself

Dude I get complement every day on mine also is is all preference but if you have had rust issues in the past I can see why you don't like flows

They have rusted on me, stuff on the inside has broken, and it was just plain quiet. I just don't like the sound really. It's deep but when you accelerate the sound doesn't really get louder. With slp they get louder and louder.

I do like the sound. It's just not my preference. Because I like loud. My flows never changed in sound through the entire rpm band. I get different tones with slp.

Sorry if I sounded like I was insulting slp loudmouths, I like them but jut not on my setup. You are right about them being louder than the super 40's but I have a convertible and with the top down you get a headache after 15 minutes. Those suckers are LOUD, but I experienced distortion at high rpm with the slp's. they fapped and cracked and poped, while my current flowmasters roar an grown and pop. Yes the slp are better for a extra 3 hp. But I disagree about the flow's super 40's being to quiet, mine are still real loud and where I live the cops don't like that. Also the slp's come with much, much, much, much nicer exaust tips! If I ever went to high flow cats I would reinstall the slp's in a heartbeat
