Looking for a tune

Hey all,

This'll make post#1.

I was referred to the site by SCT as a source for a tuner that can build a custom tune for my handheld. Anybody can help,..I'm wanting a tune for a 2003 cobra, w. a 2.8 pulley, A C.A.I., non-catted off-road pipe, EGR delete, w/ a head cooling mod and a 170 degree T-stat. Running 93 octane.

Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Thanks

You are going to want a custom Dyno tune on a supercharged application with mods like that.
While a mail order tune will likely be 'safe' it won't maximize your combo.
You need a shop that's reputable and fairly local.

+1 dyno tune would be the best in order to get the most out of your mods

Thanks for the quick replies. I've only had the car for about a month now,..and only drove it the distance between the lot and my house ( 7 miles) before I tore the thing apart. It is a complex car,...and I am learning alot,..thanks in part to people like you guys.
I did contact bama tune,...I think I'll go w/ them. I understand that a tuner w/ a dyno will be in order in the future,..but for now I'm comfortable enough to make that work.

The call is yours but I also suggest a dyno tune, not mail order. With a 2.8 you might need a maf upgrade and bap upgrade. An engine is an expensive gamble to take on saving a few bucks now

I hear you. I'm not just gonna put my head in the sand and see what happens. It has a stock pulley on it,..but came w/ the 2.8 and the hand held programmer,..so I have to assume dude had that stuff on there at one time. As for me,..I'll do alot more reading before I do anything w/ that 2.8 pulley.

I've worked on it for about 40 hours since I got it home,..(mostly cleaning it and tearing it apart). Thursday I'll start putting the damn thing together....maybe I should start a progress thread???
