Are you wanting to up the power later on down the road? If not, there's really no reason to increase injector size.

You can.

It will require a new tune to run properly, and then make absolutely no difference in engine output...

I've been hearing that after they changed it they didn't change the ecu so the car runs extremely rich and injectors are only running at like 80%

That will be my next purchase. Do you suggest a bama tune or going to a dyno?

The very late 2002s and all 2003 and 2004 GTs had the pink (lavender) 21 lb/h injectors, there were no changes to the tune that I have every observed (I have worked with 55 to 60 '00 to '04 GT tunes).

With both the 19 lb/h (orange) and 21 lb/h injectors the significant values, low and high injector slope, in the tunes are the same--23.8 and 19.2 lb/h.

The tunes for engines having the 21 lb/h injectors can be greatly improved by changing these to 24.1 and 20.5 lb/h. The slight change in the low slope makes the cranking AFR a bit richer to help hot starting after a brief heat soak; the 1.3 lb/h change in the high slope leans out the open-loop mix...

Damn guys. Yall know alot about these. Especially Cliffy.
Now, i heard that throughout the years of 96-04, the injectors changed colors but kept the same #s. why is that? I have 2 sets of 19# injectors and want 21 or 24# because im in the process of a pi swap,LT headers,75mm tb, and a tune after. Just need to know the right color/#s for all of that.

They switched late in 2002 because the 19# injectors were close to being maxed out at high loads.

Mostly because those that say that don't know what they are talking about...
