PLEASE. HELP. MEEEEE!

Ok.. I posted this in the SVT section but no help... Here's my problem..

K. So I just bought a Walbro 255 pump like 2 weeks ago due to my old pump going out... (GT Supercar pump) and now my car is starting to act the same way it did before my other one went out... Surely I haven't burnt up a $200 pump in 2 weeks time.... What do I do? I know the FRPS isn't bad.. Its throwing a p0190 code. And I have an 01 Cobra.. Please help me! And thank you!

You are getting into a complex electrical problem it sounds like and it would have to be diagnosed in a complex manner. I wish I could help you, but your best bet is to take it to a shop that can diagnose a problem like yours. Good luck!

Imo im reading the testing procedures to p0190 sounds like your frps is either shot or you have a short in the wiring to the frps. I would try a wiggle test to the connector on the frps to see if its a bad wire contact or a break ib it. Also test to see the resistance in the frps and to see if there is a break from the frps to the pcm. This is my look into it

Also be sure you have the right pump. 98s need pumps specific to the 98 year you just can't put a generic Walbro in there. 98s have the 99-up tank setup and a 97-down return style system with 98 specific components like 1 off fuel rails.

Ah crap didn't see that, just saw the username. Well, then he needs to make sure he got the right returnless pump for that car. Check all fuses, check the harness, check codes, check the lines etc... If the pump isn't even priming it could be a fuse somewhere or even the stupid crash popper button in the trunk on the driver's side.

The pump I have in right now is a return style.. So I just ordered an HFP 255 return less pump.... Hopefully this fixes it...

Yeah you need to make sure you are getting the right pump for your year car. 99-up is returnless, 97-below is return and as I said 98 is a bastard combination of both.

Yea... Hopefully putting the correct pump on will solve the problem.
