Unlikely. You might pick up another handful or so. The biggest gain with those is throttle response.

Here's the easiest way to install shorties:
Step 1: open your Internet
Step 2: sell them
Step 3: buy mid-lengths or LTs

Shorties are a complete waste of money because they are absolutely worthless. Unlike the old 5.0 manifolds, Ford did a great job with the factory 4.6 exhaust manifold. Shorties flow exactly the same as the stock manifold. There is zero noticeable difference.

Agree unless you're stockers cracked or you have the engine out and can't go LT because of emissions don't waste you're time and money on shorties

The issue with LTs comes up when it's time to drop the tranny. The LTs are seriously in the way.
That's why I will only run mid-lengths. They don't sound as good, but they're easier for me to live with.

On my previous gt I bought a used set of pype longtube headers and after I had them on I realized that the steering shaft would hit the header allowing it to be undriveable so I wasted about 150 bucks and 6 hours

That's because they're Pypes. Those things never fit properly.

Yea I was so stupid, even after people telling me the horrible fitment issues I thought maybe ill have some good luck, but nope 150 down the drain. I still have them and have the connecting shorty midpipe in my garage. I just needed to hit one side of the header so it can have clearance but that would be extra work to take them off and put them back on.

If you want big gains get
Typhoon intake manifold
70mm tb
Plenum
Longtubes headers
O/R x pipe
JLT cold air
And some 270 drop in cams
Then a dyno tune

And get your manifold and plenum ported

That would be a good list ..

Shorty headers give very minimum hp gains

You do not need a handheld tuner if you're going to get it dyno tuned.

False. You either take your own handheld/chip or pay for one at the dyno

That's a lot of really good mods, I'm sure your car really woke up! I would recommend just going with our Bama custom tuner. Your car isn't to the point of "needing" a dyno tune yet! With just basic bolt ons, we can definitely get your car dialed in.

Another great benefit is our free tunes for life program! That will allow you to mod as you go and we'll just update your tune for you. Please let me know if you have any questions or need some assistance in the near future! Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!
