Hey guys well I'm in the market for some seats, I was only looking for 03-04 cobra ones but they are so hard to find now and preety pricey. So now I'm looking for other ones such as bullitts and Mach 1's. I stumbled upon these black Mach 1's off an 04 with 40k on them. No rips or tears and in almost perfect condition. I would only be getting the front ones since I'm doing a rear seat delete. He's letting them go for 400 for the front. Should I jump on them or wait for some termi ones thanks.

Well he said he will get back to me. My offer stands at 400 but he's asking 5. I just really need to upgrade my seats I hate the tan color. But I would like some cobras to go along with my cobra but this looks like a great deal

I have $800 into completely reupholstering my entire car with brand new foams up front. Epic comfy and not someone's used farted in seats. With that said if you can get those seats for $400 go for it but if you have not heard back at this point he might have sold them or got butthurt for no good reason.

800 is not bad. Leather? Was it a kit? Where did you get it Scotty?

Its the TMI kit on LMR/CJP. No, it is vinyl but I will be the first person to tell you its nicer than the OEM Ford leather and I've had mint leather seats in a car before this one to compare them to. Not grandpa's vinyl. That $800 was for the front AND back upholstery, the front seat foams, the hog ring and plier kit, the permatex foam adhesive and any other misc things.

Before:

New foams are amazing and a zillion times more supportive than factory

Nice and tight

Front done, all those wrinkles go away pretty quick, I let the car sit out in the sun for a few days and massaged the wrinkle areas when they were super hot and it worked them out pretty good.

Rear re-cover, again the wrinkles are gone although you re-use the stock foams on the rears so it isn't as tight.

IMO you can't beat brand new seats and I personally like the vinyl better than leather. More durable, does not absorb backsweat or anything else that gets spilled on it, its maintenance free unlike leather, will not dry out, will not get cracks and the quality of this vinyl is really really top notch. Nice and soft and the fit is perfect. Again... not granpa's vinyl.

Link to where you can buy these kits

Thats a beautiful job. The foam is worn on my drivers seat. I don't think its as comfortable asit could be. I just had it repaired but Im still not happy with it. Should have done it right the first time. You're right about the vinyl its come along way. Was it very difficult?

It was not "difficult" as much as it was a complete and total pain in the ***. The upholstery is SUPER OMFG TIGHT over the new foams to the point you get it on there and go to connect the plastic clips and are like... "they made these too short!". Everything does fit though with a lot of swearing and sore fingers. The rear seatbacks literally took a half hour to do both, the rear bottom seat sucks, you have to make a lattice out of supplied hard wires and pull it tight from the other side with nylon string anchored to plastic pieced and the metal seat frame... The result is totally worth it though as you can see. Honestly the only reason I did the back seat was so my daughter could ride in it when she is old enough for a booster seat/no seat. If that was not the case I would have just deleted it and saved myself the trouble.

There are directions on the TMI website that are pretty good but they leave a few things out like trimming the foam to fit over the seat frames in some places and a few other things I forget... you'll figure it out, I did haha. Just be prepared for 3 hours per front seat and you may have to cut one of the seams a little bit on the headrest covers for them to go over the headrest foams. I had to cut a good 1.5" but you never see it because the bottom plate of the headrest covers it all up. Also the rear seat bottom takes FOREVER... I would strongly consider just deleting the rear seat if you don't think you'll use it. Like I said the ONLY reason I left it in there was so I could take my little girl for rides in the car when she's old enough not to use a car seat.

I'm not 100% sure if the factory brackets will work on the seats corbeau sells brackets for 200. I have brackets for them but they are for a fox body I don't know what would have to be modified to make them work. I believe the only difference between the brackets is you won't be able to mount the factory seat belt to the brackets. I can do 650 without brackets 750 with the brackets plus shipping.

---------- Post added at 03:01 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:59 AM ----------

I bought them for a fox body project and changed plans so I have no need for them

Honestly I'm going to pass because I want sort of a stock interior. Thanks for the info and offer but I've had racing seats before and now want a more suttle look
