Hey guys, so i personally dont care for smoked taillights much but i was thinking about painting the cage around the taillights black on my 98. Would it look good or make it look ricey?

Its just the exhaust tips that are rusty. Previous owner put some of those cheap autozone ones on lol. Im glad to get some input from fellow stang owners, people at work say it would look good but they arent mustang guys

I also have a red car and think that it looks better with just black accents around the tail lights. It looks really clean with the red lenses

Is that hood scoop one of the stick on jobbers? If so that is a little bit ricey not going to lie lol. However painting the bezels is common and looks great on red cars to break everything up in the back.

I don't think black covers look the best. You can make your tail pipes look almost new again just by sanding them. Start at 320 and work your way up to 2000 and they will really shine. That's all I did to mine.

Looks great! Eh like i said the tips are cheap autozone ones. The pipe itself still looks good i just need to get some high quality tips when i can afford to put a new exhaust on

Is it hook on by adhesive. You can use fishing line and work your way through the scoop. Then use goof off to take all the glue off. And your good to go. It's not my car but I like the sn95 hoods stock and that thing just does not say mustang to me. It like one of those scoops that they sell at auto zone. Your car is better then that. Just my opinion, please don't be offended.

Do you know how long ago it was put on? Or if it was garage kept? I was wondering if the sun fades the paint a little bit except underneath that scoop lol

To get that scoop off take a hairdryer to it and some dental floss. Letting the car sit out in direct sunlight and getting that hood hot as all hell would help too.

Use the same hairdryer and heat it up and you can kinda rub it off with your fingers, or maybe some goo gone .
