New motor

Ok motor went out in my 2000 gt very sad week.... My question for y'all is can I put the 4.6 from say an 05-09 motor in it? Sure would be nice to have that 3v set up and some more ponies but will it bolt up what kind of fabrication will the shop need to do? Any info that could be offered would be great

Hey man Idk the answer to you question, but how many miles were on the original motor? My 2002 has got 170k now
Do you know if you did anything wrong to make it go?
Anything I should avoid haha

Mine has 108xxx on it and yeah don't work for pep boys and don't get ur oil changed there... It's a big dispute going on right now on if its there fault or not.... I just know if the car is over 2.5 quarts of oil bad things happen like to much oil pump can't push or it turns into a Throth from hitting the crank and the oil pump pumps air. But hey according to them they did everything right it's just effing policy that u can't drive a mustang more then 2 miles after getting one done. Duh doesn't everyone know that.
