Where Did You Guys Get Your Chin?

American Muscle has their Mach 1 Chin spoiler on sale from 79.99 to 44.99. Just wondering if theirs was different from any others out there? I assume they are all pretty much the same though?

I have an AM one, a co-worker has one from CJ pony parts. Hate to say it because I really like AM, but mine is wavy and is starting to discolor, while his has always been a matte black and is holding it's shape perfectly. They are definitely different from vendor to vendor.

I ordered mine from AM, but if I could do it again, i would order from Late Model Restoration. They are a little longer than the OEM and AM lip.

Late model restoration chin spoiler is better.

It's more of a flat black not gloss.

I'm sorry to hear that some of you are having issues with your Mach 1 chin spoilers. I wasn't aware of this issue, but I can definitely get you taken care of! I have a 2004 Mach 1 and our Chin spoiler is very similar to the stock design. The fitment is identical, my factory chin spoiler is a little set back and about a half inch from the bumper on each end.

The only noticeable difference is in the finish. My factory spoiler is a little less shiny, but I ended up changing out my factory spoiler for our aftermarket one! (Since my stock one was pretty beat up).

If anyone is having a problem or has any questions, please give my CS team a call. They'll gladly look into this for you and get you squared away! Our Mustang Experts are here Monday-Friday from 9AM-9PM EST and Saturdays from 9AM-5:30PM EST. If you want to hit them up, their number is 866.727.1266. I can also have one of them call you directly.

Guys, it's not supposed to line up all along the lip.
It's supposed to be lined up at the back edge (at the wheel wells) and sit an inch or so behind the front of the bumper. That's how the Mach's had them.

I like the set back look better than the flush look, I also like the gloss black better than the flat black. If I ever need another one AM's got my money.

Yeah but some of us like the the flush look better and me personally would like it to line up with fender wells too

So you got yours from AM? Anymore pictures of it like in the sun? Just curious on how the finish looks

And yeah I thought it was supposed to be set back on the front a little and light up by the wheels, but I guess some just like the full flush look. I personally like the set back on the front look. Haven't seen much of the full flush all around though. Thanks everyone for the pics and stuff

I got my chin(s) from too much German beer...

Oh, as for the Mustang chin, yeah get the CJP one. My bud got one from LRS back in the day, didn't go all the way to the edge of the front bumper. The AM one can have issues too, never heard of any issues with the CJP one. Obviously OEM would be best but I don't even know if you can get those anymore.

My OEM chin spoiler has more texture than the AM one , Idk the last time I bought a chin spoiler from AM they didn't even include the hardware with the package, for my GT
Returned it and got one from Latemodelresto and it was very close to OEM and fit perfect.

Not trying to talk down or anything but seriously the AM one is at least half a inch short. And is all flimsy

Haha the first chin joke, I like it. Thanks for the info, do you have anything else from CJP? I was looking at their lowering springs but wasn't too sure if they compared to the H&R super sports.

Yeah I love AM, but might look into LMR. I want the chin to line up at the ends of the bumper on each side, but not at the front. Pretty sure that is how its supposed to be. I'm just looking for a flat black look, I think it will go better with a black car than a black gloss that doesn't quite match the black gloss of the car. You know what I mean? Which is the only reason I'm looking at LMR instead of AM.
