Pi swap

I'm thinking about just buying a whole pi swap, heads, cams, and intake. I can get them somewhat for a good price and gain that extra power and get the better intake without having to do and modifications. So do you guys and gals think that is a better route to take?

Would I need to get it tuned after I swapped everything over?

Yes, any engine mod should technically be tuned. But not all really see benefits. Anything major is crucial that a tune is needed.

Alright, a dyno tune would be the best thing for it?

If you hve a handheld it's still useful to load the tune, but yes definitely custom dyno tune.

But just a handheld tune cant compensate for all that

U will have to run 91 octane or above bc it raises compression to 10:1:1

I have a whole 99 motor in my 98 and the tune is stock down to swapping all the 96-98 stuff over like the coil packs vs going to COPs. Before you ask me a million questions though, I did not do the swap, the previous owner did. I can PM him and ask him if he did anything special. There is a TON of info online about doing the swap though, just use Google and read read read. More info than you can imagine.
