HELP!! 04 mustang went dead??

I have an 04 mustang gt that only has 57xxx miles on it and when I was about to turn on my road I pushed my clutch in and my battery light came on then right after my check engine light came on and the car went dead... I then started it up and drove to the house and plugged my programmer up it didn't read anything I'm thinking it my be the alternator... I have one 12" sub and an 800 watt amp but I wasn't playing music with a lot of bass at the time what do y'all think?!

Check the cable that attches to the top of your alternator with the rubber boot. Mine snapped off last night ( threads and all ) and my car died.

Yup most likely a problem with the charging system or the battery.

Do you have a sound system with a subwoofer?

Happened to me before, I unplugged my battery for 5 minutes, plugged it back in and fired it up. Hasn't happened since.

Do you have any sort of on/off switch tied into the amp turn on wire? I ran into an issue where my car just wouldn't start even thought the battery, starter, and alternator were good. It ended up being that my subwoofer would slowly drain the battery because my deck wouldn't shut off right away after turned the key off.
