Meanest Sound?

What is the meanest/sounding exhaust you've heard? Feel free to post any videos/links!

Meanest exhaust I've heard? Gotta go with big block chevy. There was a 454 C3 corvette at a Corvette show I was in a while ago that made the windows in my car rattle when it idled.
That thing sounded like a lion eating an infant.
Aside from that, I honestly think that nothing beats a cammed modular 4v.

The meanest sounding exhaust is mine when I look in my rearview and see the stock Mustang with a really loud exhaust a bus length behind me...

In all honesty the meanest sounding exhaust is the one that sounds the meanest to you. Maybe I'm getting old but I have no idea this obsession with super omfg loud cars lol.

I'm not even old and I agree. Louder =/= better.
I'm all for massive cams and open exhaust on an old muscle car as long as its something like a BBC or a Hemi, but I've kept my car relatively tame.

I'm 18 and agree with you. I want it to be noticeably loud (I have a prochamber and getting super 44 mufflers soon) but I would never run an x pipe with LM1s like a lot of people. I want it to sound good and let people know in coming. I don't want to wake the dead when driving through town though.

I agree with you a little. I'm 21 but I have an off road x with lm1 and I actually like the tone a lot. It is loud but only if you put your foot into or ride around 1800, to 2500 Rpms all the time. It has a nice deep tone when you are cruising so I think it has the meanest sound. Mine always sounds pissed off. I had flows before and they sounded eh okay but I love the sound of opening up lm1s

Yeah I'm 20 and have the offroad procharger and flow master original 40's and it was too quiet for me so for the time being I'm running one pipe with te flow and the other no muffler and love it

Yeah I've heard that actually sounds extremely good. Deep and raspy at the same time.

And you dick up the flow of the exhaust with one side pushing out way faster than the other that way. Yes the midpipe has an equalizer, doesn't mean the backpressure won't be jacked up.

A lot of us are missing the topic posts meaning. Its meanest sound. I'm sorry but flows are not mean at all. Now if he asked for best sound maybe but meanest flows probably shouldn't be even mentioned..

I didn't say it isn't good when deep, it just seems like people think the only way to make it sound mean is with straight pipes. I'd rather have it loud and toned than just obnoxious loud.

Yeah it's all just preference. I like the loud sound because I'm the obnoxious kind. I want to hear it on the inside and I want everyone to hear me. But with lm1 and x pipe I've gotten so many compliments on it. With my flows I didn't get that many because people didn't hear me unless I was just driving with the rpms around 2000+. It's just whatever is pleasant to your ears I guess

That's good and all but hard to get the meanest sound by being quiet lol I'm just messing man. My friend has a 07 gt with a whipple on it with bone stock exhaust and will beat 99.9% of cars on the road and sounds stock. Just a little whine

Hell if I had a sleeper I would add some extra straight through resonators to make it even quieter. Then completely blow their doors off lol

Obviously I am biased, but the meanest sounding exhaust set up to me is my own, magnaflow catback with an O/r H-pipe. I don't know why but it seems like nobody pairs magnaflows with an h-pipe and in my opinion it is a match made in heaven.

At idle it is nice and quiet, and at cruising speeds it is very tolerable and there isn't really any drone. But then at WOT I set off car alarms and every time I punch the gas it makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck. I think I might have a weird 2v sound fetish

I had the same setup except with dynomaxes on my 5.0 they sound very similar. And the same experience you describe.
