ideas for an exhaust leak?

Alright, im kinda penny pinching right now, my car has a mean exhaust leak where the old owner did a horrible weld job where the x pipe meets the headers, theres a couple holes and cracks. I cant stand to hear it anymore. Wondering if anyone else has an Idea to temporarily fix the leak until I can save up enough to buy my new exhaust set up

If he welded it at the flange your gonna need a new pipe and headers anyway, i would undo the bolts from the block and drop it down and just do a good gas weld around it (not an arc weld it will bubble up). Dont bother with that exhaust putty stuff, tried that on my truck once and it failed miserably lol

Usually you can have some lift it and re-weld quick usually less then 50$ probably 25$

He welded the flange?
What an idiot. There's not a whole lot you can do at this point except have it welded better like sixpac said.. That's usually pretty cheap to do.
You could always go cheap and JB weld that sumbich up if you don't have a good welder and lift. It couldn't do any more damage than is already done by the terrible job.
