Alternator

Ok guys, I've got a 96 GT. Engine and all sound good, it's always run like a champ and still does. But my alternator is whining... As if its working too hard or maybe about to go out? It doesn't do it normally, but today I found if I turn the A/C on it'll whine and when I put my bama tune on it whines.

Just trying to get some info on it so I can know what to do.

I'm gonna get a video tmrw hopefully. Honestly it sounds like its coming directly from the alternator though and I heard bearings tend to go bad in them?

It sounds like it could be the Fuel pump or the Alternator! We will know a little more once you load the video. Let me know if you have any questions or need some assistance!

Our Mustang Experts are here Monday-Friday from 9AM-9PM EST and Saturdays from 9AM-5:30PM EST. If you want to hit them up, their number is 866.727.1266. I can also have one of them call you directly.

The clutch on the a/c pump wears out on the 4.6L a lot, really an all to common thing...
