H pipe

What is the best way to take off the old h pipe? I have the four bolts that go into the muffler off but it is hard to get to the ones on the headers, I just need suggestions.

You need a swivel for the passenger side and the driver side should be east to get to. Just an extension

On the passenger side one of the nuts is in just so you can't get the stupid thing off. With a swivel a shallow socket is too shallow to grab the nut and a deepwell can't get in there. Solution is to either cut down a cheap deepwell you don't care about like a Lowe's special or go with a 1/2" drive shallow socket on a swivel. That one will be deep enough to grab the nut but not so deep it won't fit in that spot.

What about cutting the bolt? I mean I'll be putting new bolts anyways, or is that just dumb? You can tell me it won't hurt my feelings haha.

No, you won't be able to get in there. Sucks but that's the way it is. If you have the right tools it isn't that hard to get the pipe out.

Same problem here man I could not get that bolt off for the life of me, brought it to a shop and they struggled for roughly an hour on a lift getting that damn bolt off, it was so rusted and tight making it such a PITA, after that it was nothing, the shop charged me like a 100$ bill so if I were you I'd take it in to be done, than once its done the first time and that PITA bolt is popped it'll be a piece of cake any time in the future if you plan on swapping again..
