Deferent mufflers on each pipe?

If I was to put two different mufflers into my cat back would it hurt performance in any way? I was thinking of putting a chambered on one side and a straight through on the other. Any thoughts on how it would effect the exhaust gases being expelled?

It would effect the flow of exhaust and it will be pushing out more exhaust fumes out the side with the straight pipe and less thorough the one with the muffler. So I wouldn't do it if I was you. But I am no expert that's just my thinking.

+1 I imagine that would sound strange and wouldn't give any gains over normal matching mufflers. I understand wanting to be different, just get something other than flowmaster or slp and you'll be unique.

I was looking at mixing sounds to create a "best of both worlds" kind of thing. I was thinking I could have the chambered sound mixed with the raw sound of straights

You will unequalize the pressure on both sides of the exhaust, I would not recommend doing this and honestly think it would sound weird... in a bad way...
