Update.



Called my local ford dealer, they quoted me roughly 200 for just the seal replacement, but if they got in there and the crush sleeve needed replacing (which I guarantee they'd call and say it needs replacing regardless) than its be at least double the 200$..hmm good price? I find that a bit high but it is the dealership

That's crazy, the crush sleeve is only a buck or two.

You have to pull the pinion to change the crush sleeve...the seal is a 2 minute job.

How the hell do you check the fluid, my 3/8 breaker bar, and my 3/8 rachet are to big to fit in there...the heads of the rachets are to big there's barely any room to get a tool in there to take the fill plug off

Car is going in late this afternoon for pinion seal leak fix. Will have car back tomorrow, my mechanic ballparked me at 150-200$...my other ford dealer just quoted me 422$ f that!
