New Clutch Questions

I just got back from getting my clutch replaced, just an OEM replacement. I know that they have a break in period of 500 - 1000 miles, but I don't know what can change in that time. I noticed that it catches way at the end and especially in the 2nd-3rd shift after I take my foot off the pedal the tach will go up a couple hundred rpm and then settle back down. Just want to know if this is normal and if it will change.

That sounds kinda funky to me. I installed a new clutch about a year ago and did a 500 mile break-in. It never grabbed as low as yours and my rpms never did that weird flutter.
Did they flutter before the clutch? Could be an IAC issue where it isn't closing properly.

I just drove it again and it is slipping, that's what the flutter is.

Are you sure it's slipping? If it takes off in 4th, you're good.

Yep, no matter what gear I'm in as soon as I give it more gas than grandma level the rpm's shoot up a few hundred, I haven't mashed the gas though.

Got it back from the shop again, now everything is all fine and dandy. I can tell they adjusted something because it catches a little sooner.

Glad to hear it, chief!
Just be sure you don't romp on it too hard for the first 500 miles so it can seat properly.
