Trade...

Does anyone think trading an 03 mustang gt with 112000 miles that is virtually flawless as far as interior and exterior, for a 1998 cobra with a noticeable scratch on the bumper, and a few missing dash board pieces, is a fair trade... The cobra has an exhaust and my gt has full bolt ons and exhaust...

Oh and the cobra has 99,000 miles

Depends. Do you like the 94-98 body? Do you mind fixing the interior up? Why does the owner want out of it? I recently turned down a 98 with identical miles to mine because I don't like the body style and it had a doofy ricer looking hood on it.. It's all preference if there are no mechanical issues involved.

I dont like the body style as much as mine but i like the fact of having a cobra so that makes up for that... I dont mined fixing the interior that much... I mean i could probly get everything in like 5 min at pick and pull... I just want an external opinion, thanks

I would do it but you should make sure the cobra doesn't have any big issues. Have it checked out by a mechanic first.

Oh yeah definitely... A while back i was looking for a fox body and i took 5 to my mechanic and 3 of them had frame damage from some kid sliding it into a curb... Ill never buy a car without getting it checked out first after that...

I'd love an Azure Mach. Best color laid on a Mustang that isn't Competition Orange.

Well the 98 cobra is considerably less powerful than the edge cobras but it would still be a step up from a GT. Plus it would be cool to have, i mean how often do you see an SN cobra anymore?

A 98 cobra is basically equivalent to a new edge gt... But not equivalent to a 4v new edge

Torque is equal, but even a 98 makes 300hp stock.

So it has 40 more horsepower lol like I said its basically the same lol I would put my gt up against any reasonably bolted on sn cobra.

40hp is about what 2v's get from basic bolt ons. A bolted sn cobra is just going to make that much more. 4v's have a little more potential as well, even the early heads aren't as much of a bottleneck as a stock PI head.. I wouldn't consider an SN Cobra a weaker platform than an edge GT, I just think 94-98s are ugly lol.

It's all preference. While I may not like certain cars, I'd never "hate" on one that an owner is proud of.

Those new six cylinders are still crazy for the price point! So much for the money.

How desperate are you to own a Comp. Orange GT
