Got screwed

Long story short I gave my car to a mechanic and he warped my fender. Didnt even mention it to me, but when I opend my door there was a scrubbing noise. I'm assuming when he lowerd my car from the jack the car landed on it. How can I fix this? And how much am I looking at

Have you shown the mechanic? He should be responsible for that! It looks like he jacked up your car by the pinch weld directly under the fender. That's a big no no. Can you post a pic of the under side of the car, where he jacked it up?

My 240sx had both fenders like this and the only way I could straiten them out was to remove the fenders and straiten out the pinch weld which was crushed flat. After I reinstalled the fenders, it took a little finesse to get the lines to match up again.

That's the mechanics fault he should pay for that I'd take it back. That's your personal property.

Don't care if he was a former president, take it to him and make him pay for it

Agreed, that spot can be tricky to get straight again.

First I would confront him , and if he didn't want to pay for it I would beat his *** up.

Lol, I'm a war veteran, I don't expect any special treatment. As I'm in the miltary I work with a bunch of other war veterans. Some are smart, some are regular, some are complete dip****s that should never have made it through basic much less get a full 4-6 year enlistment and all the benefits that come with it... Just because someone is a war veteran doesn't mean they shouldn't be held responsible for being an idiot or effing up. Heck one guy who just got out never deployed and worked a desk for almost all 4 years of his tenure here. He has full veterans benefits and vet preference and we're also pretty sure was faking an injury for that time but can't prove it so... yeah... just sayin.

Your biggest problem is that you didn't point it out to him on the spot. All he has to say (and he will), is "it wasn't like that when you took it the other day". Once again, why I now do ALL my own work on my car. If I **** up, its on me, I don't have to deal with some idiot who doesn't really care becuase it isn't his car.
