If you can't get into the 12s with a bolt on 4V, give the keys to someone who can drive. Or swap to an auto...

A well driven bolt on 2V is good for low 13s/maybe high 12s if the driver is super good. A bolt on 2V with a stalled auto and a j-mod/shift kit will go mid 12s. A well driven bolt on 4V is easily good for 11s. Just gotta keep hitting the track and you'll get there. MO is to invest in a good suspensions setup and wheels/tires. They go a long way.

Mid 12's on an auto? Kind of hard to believe, my gt was preety well modded and my best was a 13.2 maybe on a better day it would of hit high 12's.

Mid 12s are attainable with a stalled auto and bolt ons. I really hate the idiots who bash on the autos, they rule the 1/4 and a good aftermarket stall and a shift kid/J-mod will make a world of difference.

Combo for mid 12s:

-99-04 GT or an stang with a PI motor
-4.10s
-J-Mod/shift kit
-3500rpm stall
-All the "bolt ons"
-Driver who does not weigh 300lbs and is not a goddam moron

Instant mid 12s. Ignore the mouth breathers who bash autos, they rule the 1/4 and for good reason. The torque multiplication of a good converter will allow you to launch harder than a stick and a good auto will shift faster and easily more consistently than any manual and this is just fact. If you ever go to a track, almost all the serious 1/4 cars are autos and for good reason, they are just better in a straight line.

Cold air, under drive pulleys, accufab plenum, off road x, slp lm1, 3.73 gears, mgw short throw. Then weight reduction things. Rear seat delete just added, hood is more aero dynamic and a tad lighter. I ran with a 315 drag radial
