Momma not happy, nobody happy

My wife does not like to drive our 00gt. It is totally stock with 48k miles and looks and drives like new. She loves the old 92 notch, with offroad H, flowmaster catback, and 6psi of boost. I wonder if she would like the 00 more if it was louder? I can't afford to get boost for the 00gt, but I could do some exhaust, and maybe gears. We also have a 13gt with exhaust.

The 00 is a real nice premium GT manual tranny, and is not slow by any means, but is at at a huge disadvantage when compared to our other cars. Maybe a hypnotist could make her like it more?

The 92 is not great paint and interior and would cost a fortune to make it that way. The 00 looks almost like new inside and out!

Let her drive the 92, sell the 00, buy a supercharger for the 13.

It would be ok to sell it if the 00 would bring enough to restore the 92, but I doubt it.

Yeah, that 00 looks so stock other than tint. Show it some love and I'm sure she will def love it more.

Restoring a fox that is in ok shape is a $10k project at the very least and that's if you do a lot of work yourself and aren't really aiming for a big power car.

If you sell the fox you can supercharge the 00 I suppose. They are a much better daily driven car than a fox IMO. Just swap in a 01-04 console so she has a place to put the beverages that doesn't suck.

If I could wake it up with a few mods she would surely like it a lot more. I am thinking about trying exhaust and 3.73 gears. That should make it feel quicker

CAI
Pulleys
Gears
Shifter
Midpipe/catback
Little suspension work and nice wheels/tires you'll be right there

Pretty much what my 98 has and its very fun to drive.

yeah, that makes sense. It doesn't need to be crazy fast, it just needs to have some pep when she takes off. She doesn't drive fast, but this thing is a turd in stock form compared to a supercharged fox or a 13

A bolt on PI car is easily 12 second capable with the right driver. Kind of funny to see a new 5.0 running mid 12s and some dude with a bolt on 2V GT is running right with him at like 150 less hp. And then a bolt on Mach rolls up and runs an 11...

That looks great! Our fox is an old copcar with a crappy repaint and sander marks on the windows, holes in dash and console. It looks good from 30 yards. It would be expensive to restore. It's even beat up underneath from median blasts. It runs great and is ok for a weekend toy. Not good for restoration project

Am looking at the cold air intakes. If I get one does it need a tune? I guess I better start researching them. Talked to the wife and she is receptive to gears and catback to start. No wheels tho, She likes the stock wheels . The gears and exh may make it have more get up and go off idle. 3.73 should get it moving off idle quicker. She has a triax shifter that's never been installed

Tri-Ax will make shifting a lot better but it will have a lot more noise from the shifter area which she might like. If she drives the 92 though she is probably used to a lot of noise.

Getting a CAI will not require a tune. Just get the BBK. Its ok for the modulars and re-uses the stock MAF so no tune required.

I would do a SCT tuner first you will need it for the gears and exhaust especially if you go with off road mid pipe.

Here ya go tre performance is where I got my exhaust. Cheapest exhaust set up I found. AM rear end gear kit and Sct tuner. If you have the AM forum discount it will help a bit.

MAC O/R H-Pipe $178.99
MAC cat back $329.99
Gear kit $255.99
Tuner $379.99

Total: $1, 094.96

I had a 98 GT that was essentially stock until I lost it in a wreck >.<

Then in my 97 GT I have 3.73 gears, cold air intake, and an off-road x-pipe and its a beast of a COMPLETELY different nature. Hoping to do under drive pulleys next week. I think she'll be really happy with these changes, it has a lot more "giddy-up" to it and the exhaust note always turns heads

Ordered the 3.73 and catback. Stepson is ford tech and told me to wait on the tuner to see what he could do with ford software on the speedometer
