Tb emission problem/next mod

So my next mod is going to be either 3.73 gears and tuner or the bbk 78mm tb combo but in the description it says it doesn't pass emissions, my question is why? Isnt it just more potential airflow?
Thanks

They probably didn't want to pay the extortion money to get approval from whatever government agencies are in charge of allowing such environmentally reckless parts to be installed on our vehicles. If the guy doing your emissions testing doesn't care about the tb, you'll be fine...

If he does care, you're screwed. It won't pass the visual inspection...

Wouldn't TB be an easy enough to swap for the purposes of inspection so you can enjoy the benefits otherwise.

Would it be safe since it will be tuned for a bigger tb and swap a smaller one?

If your tuned for the larger and drop to.say 65mm you'll probably throw a check engine light for running too rich... Which is what happened to me(currently) fuel mileage drops a little but other than that I havent had any issue's

Or you could get creative and camouflage that beeotch. Glob it up with the goo that collects so that the emissions tech won't notice it. Just a thought. I wonder if the place that does mine would even notice, or care. I've been going there for years though. I'm surprised that no one has chimed in saying that they passed no problem...
