Exhaust leak question?

I have a leak we're the down pipe attaches to the manifold.. It's a bolt on magnaflow kit.. I've had two different exhaust shops work on it and its still not fixed.. What can I do.. I'm at a loss? Weld it?

Driver side uses a ball and socket type and the passenger uses a gasket style. The gasket is known to leak so if you give us more info we can help but do not weld the midpipe to the manifold. That is the worst thing you can do

Have you tried tightening it back up? My buddies Pypes O/R H came with a trumpet type gasket on the drivers side so maybe you could try to pick one of those up.

You gotta go back under the car after a few heat cycles and tighten it back up. Also if someone gorilla'd the nut on the flange could be bent. Bent flange=leak.

It's been to the exhaust shop twice to try and fix it.. At best it just changes the tone..

Have you crawled under there and looked yourself or just taken it in? I guarantee all they did was tighten the nut.

Both.. When I try I just chase the leak around.. One said he re flared it or w/e the other tool it off cleaned it all up and re installed it.. I don't have the facility's to really work on my car anymore..
